If requesting a police report, you must fill out an Open Public Records Act request form, and records personnel will process your request.

Fees for reports:
Page 1-10 $0.75 a page
Page 11-20 $0.50 a page
Page 21 plus $0.25 a page

Delivery: Delivery/postage fees additional depending upon delivery type.

Extras: Extraordinary service fees dependent upon request.

If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident, please follow the directions below.

1. Contact your insurance company and follow their procedures.


2. If you need a copy of the accident report, please allow five (5) working days for completion. You may obtain the copy by completing the Open Public Records Act request form as outlined above.


3. If your vehicle was towed, you must obtain a release from police headquarters PRIOR to picking up your vehicle.


4. On occasion, drivers involved in motor vehicle accidents are issued summons for a motor vehicle violation. A court date is listed at the bottom of the summons. If the "appearance required" box is marked, YOU MUST APPEAR ON THAT DATE. You have the right to consult with an attorney prior to your court appearance. If you wish to plead not guilty, you must notify the MUNICIPAL COURT at least five (5) days in advance.


5. If you need to speak with the investigating officer please contact police headquarters and leave a message. Each officer has a private voice mailbox, which may be utilized for this. Please remember that Police Officers do not work regular hours and they will return your message as soon as possible.

Fingerprinting Services:
The Department offers fingerprinting services to our residents, Monday through Friday, during business hours. The cost of fingerprinting is $5.00.
